The Best & Worst of 2017
Wow… was 2017 a rollercoaster.
As you may all know, I started up my own business and it was been the best decision I have ever made!
I say that now but it was the scariest as well! The amount of times I went back and forth wondering if I was being the silliest person who walked the face of the earth or the bravest. I would wake up some morning thinking ‘You go Glen Coco’ and then other mornings I would be crying my eyes out. I finally decided that if I didn’t do it now I would be the silliest person who walked the planet and so here we are…Peony and Pence… THE BEST decision I have made.
If I look back at everything now, all the things I was worried about were all the small easy things and all the things that I hadn’t even thought about were the worst. I think my biggest challenge of 2017 was that not everyone is going to accept my quotes and not everyone is going to like my work. And this was very tough for me to accept but over time I have learnt that you should never sell yourself short and you need to be confident (I know, everyone says this but trust me… it is true!) in everything you do be it a quote or a small job or even a big job. Take pride.
One of the best things that I learnt in 2017 is to have faith! Faith has really helped me a lot in my decision to open Peony and Pence but also in myself. I think that we are our worst enemies sometimes but go with your gut! You know yourself better than anyone else and if something feels good then go for it! I promise you won’t regret it.
I didn’t really have a worst in 2017 but if I had to think of one, it would be that I should’ve started Peony and Pence a long time ago because this is just amazing.
